Multiplication Practice
Week Beginning: 06/10/25
Year 4 have had great fun this term developing their fluency with times tables! Through a variety of exciting and interactive activities, the children have been able to practise and strengthen their multiplication skills in engaging ways. One of the class favourites has been “Hit the Button”, where pupils race against the clock to recall multiplication facts as quickly as possible. They’ve also enjoyed racing their cars around the track, where each correct answer brings them closer to the finish line – a brilliant blend of friendly competition and mental maths practice! Another highlight has been “Multiplication Splat”, a lively and hands-on game that encourages quick thinking and teamwork. All of these fun activities are helping the children prepare for the Year 4 Multiplication Tables Check, which they will complete later in the year. By building speed, accuracy, and confidence through play, the children are well on their way to mastering their times tables and showing just how much they’ve learned. Year 4 should be very proud of the enthusiasm and effort they’ve shown – learning really is most effective when it’s enjoyable
