What a busy and exciting week it’s been in Year 5! We have started reading our brand-new class book, When the Sky Falls by Phil Earle, and we’re already hooked by the story. In maths, we have been recapping our place value knowledge, working confidently with numbers all the way up to 1,000,000! In history, we’ve been thinking carefully about how life in modern-day Germany compares to the early 1900s, sparking some great discussion. To round off the week, we headed outside for our very first tag rugby lesson – lots of running, teamwork and fun all round. 🏉
