02. Week beginning 07/09/26
As part of our learning about covenants and the promises God made to His people, the children reflected on the importance of making and keeping promises. During a special liturgical prayer session, the children thought carefully about the promises they could make to themselves and to one another as a class. They chose promises that would help us to create a kind, respectful and supportive classroom community. Some of our promises included “We will be respectful,” “We will put our all into our classwork,” and “We will include everyone.” Each child wrote their promise on a strip of paper, and we joined them together to create a class promise chain, which we proudly displayed in our classroom. The chain is a wonderful reminder that, just as promises bring people together, our own promises can help us to build a strong and caring class community. We look forward to putting our promises into action every day!
