As part of our writing unit, the children have been busy writing their own space narratives in role as Curiosity, the Mars Rover. The children have worked hard to develop their writing and apply a range of writer’s knowledge they have been learning. They have carefully included fronted adverbials to add detail and build atmosphere, inverted commas to accurately punctuate dialogue, and modal verbs to show possibility and certainty. It has been fantastic to see the children becoming more confident and purposeful writers, making thoughtful vocabulary choices and using the features they have learned to bring their space narratives to life. We are incredibly proud of the effort, creativity and care they have put into their writing!
