The Year Four children led a special Celebration of the Word all about the Ascension of the Lord. They explored how Jesus blessed His friends before returning to His Father in heaven. To help everyone imagine this moment, the children used a small figure of Jesus attached to a helium balloon. When they let go, the figure floated gently upward, just like Jesus rising into heaven. Everyone watched quietly as it lifted higher, reminding us that Jesus is always with us and calls us to lift our hearts to God.
