This week in Year 5 we have been busy across all of our subjects! ✨📚

In English, we continued exploring our class text The Promise by Nicola Davies and used the story as inspiration to write persuasive letters 📝🌱, encouraging positive changes and thinking carefully about how to persuade our reader effectively.

In Maths, we continued our work on decimals ➗, focusing on equivalent fractions and decimals, particularly tenths and hundredths 🔢. We used our place value knowledge to help us make links between fractions and decimals and practised representing them in different ways.

In RE, we reflected on the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary ✝️🙏 and discussed how these mysteries help Christians remember important events from the life of Jesus. We thought carefully about the emotions, sacrifice and messages within each mystery.

In Science, we explored patterns in the universe 🌍🌙⭐ and investigated how scientists use patterns to help explain and understand the world around us. We enjoyed spotting connections and asking thoughtful questions about space and the universe 🔭✨.
