24. Week beginning 16/03/26
This week in Writing, we have been busy completing our final character narratives inspired by The Promise by Nicola Davies. The children have worked incredibly hard to develop their characters, using rich description and thoughtful storytelling to bring their ideas to life.
In Religious Education, we have been learning about the Last Things — death, judgement, heaven, purgatory and hell. The children approached this topic with great maturity, reflecting on what these beliefs mean for Christians and engaging in respectful and thoughtful discussions.
During Forest School, we got stuck into some hands-on outdoor learning! The children worked brilliantly as a team to dig up flower beds, preparing the area ready for planting saplings. We’re looking forward to seeing how this develops over time! 🌱🌳
In Science, we explored the phases of the moon in a very fun (and tasty!) way — using Jaffa Cakes! This practical activity helped the children understand how the moon changes shape over time, and it certainly made the learning memorable! 🌕🌗🍪
