In Maths, we have been learning how to find fractions of amounts. The children have been applying their knowledge of multiplication and division to solve problems and are becoming much more confident when working with fractions. ➗

In Science, we explored why we have night and day. The children learned how the Earth rotates on its axis and how this causes different parts of the world to experience daylight and darkness. 🌍🌞🌙

In Geography, we have been learning about natural resources. We discussed how these are materials we get from the Earth that are essential for human life and have economic value. The children also explored how resources are not evenly distributed across the world, particularly fresh water, and considered how this impacts people’s lives globally. 🌎💧

In Religious Education, we have been learning about Ash Wednesday and how it marks the beginning of Lent. The children learned that Lent is a period of forty days leading up to Easter, reflecting the time Jesus spent in the desert being tempted. We discussed how this is a time for reflection, prayer and making positive choices. ✝️
