In Maths, we have been developing our understanding of fractions by multiplying unit and non-unit fractions, as well as mixed numbers. The children have shown great perseverance with this challenging topic and are becoming increasingly confident in applying their skills. ➗

In Science, we have been learning all about the Solar System. The children explored the eight planets that orbit the Sun — Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune — and learned the difference between inner and outer planets. We discussed how the inner planets are rocky, whilst the outer planets are made of gas and are much larger. 🌍🪐

During Forest School, we had an exciting and hands-on experience! The children learned how to safely make their own fires using flint and steel and even got to toast marshmallows — a real highlight of the week! 🔥🍡

We also had a wonderful time celebrating World Book Day! The classroom was transformed into a book café, where the children explored a range of texts, and they took part in a creative book cover design activity. It was lovely to see such enthusiasm and excitement for reading! 📚✨
