17. Week beginning 19/01/26
Our PE lessons took on a Winter Olympics twist, and the children absolutely loved it. They tackled our versions of skiing, curling, the slalom run and even the biathlon.
In geography, we explored the tribes who live in the Amazon rainforest. Pupils learnt about the traditions, lifestyles and deep connection these communities have with the rainforest environment. They were fascinated by how different tribes use the land, share knowledge and preserve their cultural identity.
This week we learnt about Jesus’ Great Commandment and reflected on what it means to “love God and love your neighbour.” We linked this to parables such as the Good Samaritan, discussing how these teachings guide us to show kindness, compassion and courage in our everyday lives.
Our science investigations focused on solubility. Pupils tested a variety of materials to discover which ones dissolve in water, recording their observations carefully and discussing why different substances behave in different ways.
