Wow, what a scorching week it has been! The children did a fantastic job staying cool while diving into some wonderful learning and outdoor adventures.

In Maths, we:

• We sang and danced to Sleeping Bunnies.
• We introduced the mathematical concept of "after".
• Children identified which number comes next orally and on number lines.

Forest School & World Mud Day

• We beat the heat with fun water fights.
• We celebrated World Mud Day with messy play.
• Children mixed mud, grass, petals, and twigs in pans.
• We created beautiful, textured paintings using real mud paint.
• Children dug deep in the mud to rescue hidden dinosaurs.

Literacy 

• We spent time practicing writing our names.
• Children put the events of Humpty Dumpty in the correct order.
• We introduced and practiced the new phoneme /m/.

Expressive Arts & Design 

• We carefully drew detailed pictures of Humpty Dumpty.
• The children made a Humpty Dumpty to sit on a wall.
