Our Learning

We had a lovely week back, feeling refreshed after our half term.

In Religious Education, we introduced children to St. Peter. We learnt about his life as a fisherman, his important job of sharing with others how great Jesus was and building the first Church.

In Maths, we have been busy building our foundational maths skills:

  • Positional Language: Practising words like "under," "on top," "behind," and "next to."
  • Sequencing: Ordering events and daily routines from start to finish.
  • More or Less: Comparing groups of objects to see which has a larger or smaller amount.

Our creative hands were at work inspired by our Rhyme of the Week, Incy Wincy Spider! The children developed their fine motor skills by crafting their own unique spiders and making webs.

We had lots of fun in Forest School. We played some games: building teamwork, listening skills, and physical coordination. We made Seed Bombs: Mixing soil and seeds to help grow wild flowers for our local bees. We loved throwing them around our field. We also made some necklaces: threading beads.
