In RE, we explored the Christmas story through role-play and creative arts. We used a map of a journey to show where Mary and Joseph had to travel, and we talked about how they travelled and what they might have seen on their journey.

In maths, we became Pattern Detectives! We used beads and blocks to identify, copy, and create simple repeating patterns (ABAB). This foundational skill is crucial for early mathematical thinking. 

We were surprised to find that our play area was covered in ice, we had lots of frosty fun! We used our sensory play with ice to observe how materials change state as the day got warmer.
