This week in the nursery, our learning was full of exciting discoveries and creative play based on Autumn.

• Maths: We have been learning about the number 1 and created patterns on pumpkin shapes.
• Expressive Art and Design: Inspired by the artist Yayoi Kusama, we decorated pumpkins with spots. We also investigated pumpkins by hammering golf tees into them. We made sp[iders using our handprints and hedgehogs with spaghetti!!
• RE: We have been learning about being part of God's Family. We have looked at phoographs of some of our baptism's and talked about what happens and some of the symbols that are used.
• Understanding the World: We learned some fascinating facts about hedgehogs and used new words to describe them. We cut into a pumpkin and talked about the different parts the seeds and the pulp.
• Physical Development: We had a fantastic time being superheros in PE, and we also enjoyed playing some fun games with the parachute. We used tweezers to catch insects from inside a web.
