In RE we have been exploring the theme of families and recognising that everyone’s family is special and may look different. The children enjoyed circle times talking about their families and listening to each other.

The children drew pictures of their families, carefully thinking about who to include and how to represent them.

In Maths, we focused on matching activities. The children had fun:

• • Pairing up socks

  • Matching buttons by colour and shape

  • Building and comparing Duplo towers

These activities supported their early problem-solving, observation, and comparison skills.

In phonics and music we listened to different sounds made by musical instruments. We played these and made loud and quiet sounds.
