Habitats

This week, the Year 4 children have been delving into the fascinating world of habitats. They’ve enjoyed hands-on opportunities to investigate a variety of microhabitats, observing the conditions and identifying the plants and animals that are best suited to live there. From the long grass and flower beds to the shaded areas under logs, pot plants, and tree trunks, the children showed great patience and perseverance with their explorations, as shown in the photographs attached.

Back in the classroom, the children enthusiastically shared their findings with one another and used their data to analyse which microhabitats were most popular. This exciting topic has not only developed the children's scientific skills but also deepened their appreciation of the natural world all around them. Well done Year 4.
