This week in Maths we look at different ways we can make 5 and how we can see this, using our stem sentence '5 is made from ___ and ___' then seeing what this looked like in a part part whole model. Firstly, we grouped children in our class e.g. 2 with a high vis + 3 without = 5.

We also looked at how 5 is made using Five Little Speckled Frogs to help us visualise it. In provision we carried on practising to make 5 in different ways.

In RE we have been learning about Saint Peter, we looked at the story of when Peter walked on water. We then experienced walking through water, imagining Jesus was on the other side and thought about what it would have been like for Peter. We said Peter would have felt scared and nervous but he would have known to trust that Jesus will always help, even when we feel afraid.

We had a lovely afternoon at Forest school this week playing and making such beautiful nature faces! 🌳🌿🍂🌾🌼
