We've had a lovely first week back after half term, feeling refreshed and ready for the final half term of Reception!

This week our focus text was Goldilocks and The Three Bears. We loved playing in the oats, using the props to reenact the story, using our fine motor skills to cut Goldilocks' hair and getting creative to make our own bear faces. 

This week in Maths we recapped our positional language. We put Goldilocks - 'under', 'behind', 'in the middle', and 'on top'. We were all great at this!

With a rainy start to our Forest school session this week, we worked as a team to build dens. One with tarp, threading the rope and using the mallet to put down pegs. We also used our muscles to lift the tyres and make a different shelter. When the sun came out we went in search for sticks to build a house for Mr McDonald’s bear! 🌳🐻
