This week in Year 5 we spent time reflecting on the meaning and importance of Holy Week ✝️🌿 as we journeyed through the final events of Jesus’ life together. Each day, we focused on a different part of this special week and took time for prayer, discussion and reflection 🙏✨.

We began by learning about Palm Sunday 🌿, remembering how Jesus was welcomed into Jerusalem and thinking about why the crowds celebrated him. We then reflected on the Washing of the Feet and the Last Supper 🍞🕊️, discussing the importance of service, humility and love for others.

Later in the week, we spent time thinking carefully about Good Friday ✝️, reflecting on Jesus’ sacrifice and why this day is so important to Christians around the world. Finally, we ended the week by celebrating the joy and hope of Easter Sunday 🌅🐣, remembering the Resurrection of Jesus and what this means for Christians today.

It has been a thoughtful and prayerful week in Year 5 as we prepared our hearts for Easter 💜✨.
