We celebrated the end of our ten-week block of learning this week with our traditional 'Fun Day Friday'! This block's Fun Day Friday theme was Art, linked to the upcoming World Cup. Each class was assigned a different country taking part in the World Cup and a different art medium, to show progress throughout the school. Year 3's assigned country was Ghana and their art medium was painting. Throughout the day we used a range of paint strokes to create different projects. We created a whole-class painting of the Ghana flag, and used pointillism to make a piece of art with a silhouette of a goal keep saving a football. The children thoroughly enjoyed the day, and it made them equally excited about both art and the World Cup!
