Year 3 returned to Fractions in their Maths lessons this week, where they built up to finding fractions of an amount. They initially shared counters equally into parts to help them find fractions of an amount, e.g. 'Find one quarter of 24'. They very quickly saw the correlation between fractions and dividing/times tables, so they moved onto using formal methods for their working out following this.
