During Holy Week, the Year Four children reflected upon and re-enacted the miracle that Jesus performed at the Last Supper. They thought about how Jesus took bread and wine, blessed them and shared them with his disciples, saying that they were his body and his blood. At that moment, the children understood how an ordinary meal became something sacred. Jesus asked his disciples to remember him whenever they shared bread and wine, a sign of love, sacrifice and togetherness that would be carried on for generations.
