This week, Year 6 moved on in maths to explore how fractions, decimals and percentages are linked, began researching for an explanation text based on animals first studied by Charles Darwin and also took part in Step into the NHS, gaining insight into the wide range of careers and roles within the health service. The NHS day was valuable because it opened pupils’ eyes to the huge range of roles that keep the health service running, helping them see that the NHS is not just doctors and nurses but a whole team of scientists, technicians, therapists, administrators and support staff working together!
