24. Week Beginning: 09/02/26
This week, Year 4 have immersed themselves into Children’s Mental Health Week 2026 with energy, enthusiasm and a brilliant sense of togetherness. In line with this year’s theme, “This is my place”. The children explored how understanding and expressing their feelings can help them stay healthy, confident and resilient.
To celebrate, the class got active every single day. They took part in a daily golden mile, jogged on the spot for one minute and challenged themselves with star jumps and squats. What stood out most wasn’t just their physical effort but the perseverance they showed; pushing through tired legs, encouraging one another and discovering that movement can be a powerful way to lift their mood.
Throughout the week, pupils reflected on how emotions change and grow, just like they do. They learnt that feeling worried, excited, frustrated, or proud are all natural parts of being human and that talking, moving and supporting each other can make those feelings easier to manage.
The smiles, laughter and determination seen across the week showed just how much the children enjoyed taking part. They didn’t just get active—they grew in confidence, empathy and emotional awareness. It has been a wonderful celebration of both physical and mental wellbeing.
Well done Year 4!
