11. Week beginning 24/11/25
This week has been full of discovery and thoughtful reflection. In geography, we looked more closely at the human features of South America, including capital cities, populations, and languages. I really enjoyed seeing how confidently everyone used their prior knowledge and research skills to deepen their understanding of the continent.
In our religious learning, we explored David becoming king and compared his covenant with God to Abraham’s covenant. The discussions were incredibly thoughtful, and I was impressed by how well everyone made connections between the two stories and reflected on their meanings.
We also had a lovely opportunity to go on an Advent trail at the Baptist church, which gave us time to pause, reflect, and think about the meaning of Advent in a calm and special setting.
In science, we carried out investigations into what makes a good conductor, and it was fantastic to see curiosity and excitement as we tested different materials and discussed our findings.
