Over the past few weeks, the children have been exploring the work of Sarah Graham, who is well known for her bold and colourful paintings of sweets. 

Inspired by her style, the children worked incredibly hard to sketch their own still-life drawings of a Drumstick lolly sourced from the local Swizzles factory, in New Mills.

The children have shown great care and attention to detail, using bright, vibrant water colours to shade their lollies and make them truly “pop”. The children are now excited to add a candy stripe background to complete their final masterpieces.
