Our Learning

It has been a buzzing week in the nursery as we dived into the world of mini-beasts! Here is a look at what your little ones have been up to:

  • Mini-beast Explorers: We’ve been investigating tiny garden friends in our small world area, using magnifying glasses to spot legs, wings, and antennae.
  • Tales Toolkit: The children used their imaginations to build a new story. We had a brave Character, a tiny Setting, a sticky Problem, and a clever Solution! Ask them what happened in our story this week.
  • Creative Hands: We’ve been busy in the playdough area making wiggly worms and using our drawing skills to carefully observe and sketch the patterns on butterflies and ladybirds.
  • Maths: We have been comparing sizes! The children practised identifying long and short objects, using ribbons and toy snakes to master these measurement terms.
  • Phonics: Our focus sound was ‘p’. We’ve been practising how to recognise the letter and we wrote the letter P-p-p-pig!
