Our Learning
🔬 Science Week: Our Little Investigators!
We’ve had an incredible Science Week exploring the wonders of the world around us. The children have been busy testing, observing, and discovering!
What we’ve been up to:
- Investigating Colour: We’ve been mixing primary colours to see what "magic" happens, using pipettes and filters to create rainbow effects.
- Magnetic Wonders: We used magnets to go on a "treasure hunt," discovering which materials are magnetic and which are not.
- Growing Tall: We’ve started our growth experiments , learning exactly what plants need to turn from tiny seeds into cress.
🐞 New Topic: Mini-beasts!
We started our journey into the world of Mini-beasts. From wiggly worms to busy bees, we have been looking for tiny friends in our garden and learning all about their habitats.
In maths, we have been learning about the number 6. We can count out 6 objects, match our fingers to numbers and put 6 onto a ten frame. We learnt the phoneme /t/, we looked at objects that began with /t/ and practised writing /s/a/ and /t/.
