19. Week Beginning: 05/01/26

The children enjoyed a fun-filled and active start to their first week back after the Christmas holidays. Beginning on Monday morning with swimming, the children enthusiastically developed their backstroke skills, focusing on keeping their legs straight whilst kicking their feet quickly to maintain their buoyancy. It was wonderful to see their confidence grow as they practised these techniques.

On Wednesday afternoon, the children headed to Forest School, where they worked brilliantly as a team to build an arrowhead-shaped shelter. Their excitement was infectious and they could hardly wait to climb inside and admire their hard work.

The active week continued on Thursday with a rugby P.E session where the children took part in a variety of fun games while learning the basic rules of rugby, including throwing the ball from their hip and making themselves available in an open space to receive a pass with their wide hands in front of their chest and palms facing out. It was a fantastic end to a lively and enjoyable first week back.
