Week beginning 30/6/2025

This week, Year 3 have been investigating the question, 'How do objects move on different surfaces?' as part of the Forces and Magnets topic in Science. We used a range of different materials to change the surface a little car was travelling along and measured how far the cars travelled on each. We discussed how some of the materials caused friction which slowed the cars down.

We also had two very special events to celebrate this week. The first was a special Liturgy for our Faith Explorers. These children have been taking part in special lessons at school which have helped prepare the children to make their Sacraments of First Forgiveness and First Holy Communion this year. We invited families in to celebrate a Liturgy, where we prayed for the children who were making their First Holy Communion this weekend.

The Mass celebrating the Sacrament of First Holy Communion this weekend was beautiful and the children all took part in Mass in different ways. Following this special Mass, we had a gathering in the Parish Centre to celebrate the day together.
