Week Beginning 30th June

This week we have been learning about the story 'The Three Billy Goats Gruff'. We used Tales Toolkit to help us to retell the story. We then wrote our own stories. We have acted out the story, using our imagination and our big voices! We have learnt the phoneme /k/. We have identified objects that begin with the sound /k/, sounded out these objects. We have identified and written some /k/s. At Forest School to celebrate 'International Mud Day', our session was full of mud!! We followed recipes, making mud pies, cakes, stews etc. We dug in the soil looking for fossils and used mud to paint with. The children loved jumping into a very muddy hole, splashing and generally making a mess! In maths, we have been learning about 'what number comes after? We have jumped along our snake outside, said the number after-when rolling a dice and putting numbers correctly onto a number line.
