This week in Year 5 we have continued to build our knowledge and skills across the curriculum 🌟📚.

In Maths, we focused on calculating angles around a point and on a straight line 📐🔢. We used our understanding of angle facts to solve problems and explain our reasoning carefully.

In PE, we started our new Rounders lessons ⚾🏃‍♂️ and practised our throwing and catching skills. We worked on accuracy, teamwork and communication whilst developing our confidence in the game.

In Science, we explored what forces are 🌍🧲 and investigated where we can find them in the world around us. We discussed different types of forces and thought about how they affect everyday life.

In History, we continued our learning about the Anglo-Saxons ⚔️🏰 by exploring how historians know about life in Anglo-Saxon Britain. We looked closely at the important discoveries found at Sutton Hoo and discussed what these artefacts reveal about the past 🔍📜.
