Week Beginning 19th May

In our Forest School session this week, we looked at some emotion stones and talked about our feelings. We played with the parachute, we listened to the story 'Stick Man' and made our own 'Stick Men'. We took them on an adventure around the field. We then played a colour game.

In RE we talked about Mary and painted flowers for her. We listened to the Angelus prayer and joined in with it.

In our maths we have been learning about 2D shapes, we made models with them and sorted them into groups. We also sang the rhyme 'Ring-a-ring a roses'.

We have used Tales Toolkit to learn more about the rhyme 'O the grand old Duke of York'. We then wrote parts of the rhyme using known phonemes.

In phonics, we have been learning the phoneme /g/. We identified objects beginning with /g/. We practised writing it too.
